What this site is
Election Guesser is a daily guessing game about historical U.S. elections. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and how it's used.
Information collected automatically
Your day's game progress (score, streak) is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you sign in (see below). Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be recorded by our hosting provider, Vercel, for security and reliability purposes.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns — things like how many people visited and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you individually or across other sites. Learn more at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Information you choose to provide
If you sign in, we ask for your email address. It's used only to send you a one-time sign-in link and to sync your score history across your devices. We don't ask for a password, and we don't sell, rent, or share your email with anyone. Signing in sets a single first-party session cookie so you stay signed in between visits; the cookie only identifies your session and carries no advertising or tracking purpose. You can sign out at any time, which clears that cookie.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and may use non-personalized or personalized advertising depending on your settings and location. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can play the entire game without ever signing in — nothing leaves your browser in that case. If you've signed in, you can ask us to delete your account and its stored score history by emailing the address below.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change too.
